Myrtos Restaurant is a labor of love, born from our desire to share the rich culinary traditions of Kefalonia, Greece with the local community. Our family, deeply connected to the island, drew inspiration from Myrtos Beach, one of Greece’s most famous and awe-inspiring natural wonders. The beach itself is a symbol of the island’s untouched beauty—its turquoise waters and white pebbled shores are a testament to nature’s perfection, and we wanted our restaurant to reflect that same authenticity and charm.
Our journey began with a simple idea: to bring a taste of home to Downingtown, a place where we could honor the recipes passed down through generations. The name “Myrtos” was chosen not just because of the beach’s iconic status, but because it embodies the essence of what we aim to offer—an experience that is both refreshing and timeless. Like the beach, our restaurant is a place to escape, savor, and immerse oneself in the beauty of Greek culture.
